October 2013 - Dark Flow was a musical high point for me, the first time I stretched the possibilities of simultaneous narratives to two completely independently performing quartets, and was thrilled with the results.  Thanks to Either/Or and Ensemble Son for finessing the performances over our 5 date tour of the US and Sweden.  Check out the Malmoe performance here.

October, 2013 - .  incredibly busy and fruitful months for concerts, both of my own music (at the Bowling Greene New Music Festival, where they did a great performance of my saxophone quartet Harmonixity), and performing with Either/Or on tour in the US, Sweden, and conducting my largest conducting gig to date, 125 world premiers by 125 German and US composers in one evening.

October, 2013 - So thrilled to be a part of of this “Vivre avec Camus” documentary, 20 people from around the world were interviewed about the influence Camus has on their lives today.  I had a concert in NYC at the same time and couldn’t be there, so I sent my family in Paris to see it.  It will be available online soon.

September 2013 - What a thrill it was to premiere my new work, Prisoner’s Cinema, (with the young Hotel Elefant, and to be invited as featured composer and guest conductor! It was described as “Apocalyptic” by the New York Arts.  Check out the video, this work is for 10 players and video projection.

July, 2013 - “Vivre avec Camus” will be premiered on screen Oct 5 in Paris, on the centenary of Camus’s Birth.  They tell me my interview is a substantial one of the the film. Can’t wait to see it!
